The Kern 686 is a modular and expandable inserting system for processing of single sheets up to size A3, and up to 3 enclosures. Suited to lower to mid-range distribution volumes. The Kern 686 is now available in a new and modern casing.
To insert a DIN-A3 form into a C6 envelope doesn’t pose a problem for the Kern 686 inserting system, because the integrated folding systems allow any combination of parallel and cross folding. In just one step the Kern 686 compares, folds and inserts the documents and seals the envelopes at high continuous output.
Patented steel packing pockets hold the forms during the insertion process into the envelope. The documents are thus fully protected. As with manual inserting, the inserts are correctly put in the fold. When the addressee pulls out the content, nothing will remain in the envelope.
To have control during the process, the Kern 686 is equipped with optical datamatrix reading at the input and the Kern mailFactory® reading module, which guarantees the corresponding content in each envelope.
The module is composed of a standard output reading module complemented with an own control and operation as well as an adjacent diverting bin.
